The longtime FAST PLAY fan had been loyal to the Mega Multiplier game, racking up plenty of wins over time. But lately? Not so much.
“Mega Multiplier has been very lucky for me,” she told Maryland Lottery officials. “Lots of wins, even big ones.” But after a recent dry spell, she decided to give it one last shot. No luck.
That’s when fate—or maybe just a gut feeling—kicked in.
As she was leaving Hunt Valley Exxon in Cockeysville, she stopped, turned around, and took another look at the lottery vending machine. A new game, Casino Royale Slots, caught her eye.
She bought a $10 ticket, scanned it, and saw an unfamiliar message pop up.
“I assumed that it meant I’d won a good prize, but I never thought it would be the top prize.”
Turns out, she had unknowingly snagged the progressive jackpot, which had been growing every time a non-winning ticket was sold.
When she got home and checked the game rules, she realized that her ticket’s three cash symbols matched the jackpot prize.
“I just closed my eyes and started thanking God.”
Now, she’s celebrating her win by wiping out her debt and securing a comfortable retirement.
Hunt Valley Exxon, where she bought the lucky ticket, will get a $1,000 bonus. Meanwhile, the Casino Royale Slots game is officially retired, meaning this jackpot win was the last of its kind.
